He’s the owner of Advance Diesel Repair, LLC in Ocala, Florida, and has spent a lifetime turning wrenches and building high-performance machines. Formerly known as Mike Helton’s 4×4 & Diesel Repair, his business carries forward decades of hands-on experience and a reputation built on skill, honesty, and a genuine passion for mechanical work.

Mike has been working on engines and equipment since he was old enough to walk. He started with lawnmowers, go-karts, dirt bikes, and four-wheelers, and quickly advanced into building and modifying race cars. Over the years he owned and worked on El Caminos, Camaros, Novas, and countless custom builds—but he became especially known for his S10 Chevy Blazers. In his younger days, Mike was heavily involved in street and grudge racing, earning the nickname “NOS Mike” because everyone in the racing community came to him for nitrous systems—whether they had questions, problems, or needed help tuning for competition.

Mike has raced in Super Chevy and many other major events at tracks across Florida and Georgia, including Gainesville Speedway, Orlando Speedway, and Bradenton Motorsports Park. He still owns and races several cars today, keeping his love for performance alive.
